Community Gardens
Jesus said, "And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit,
thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”
Mark 4:20
COME ONE COME ALL
Do you wish to learn how to grow food? Do you love gardening? Want to teach others?
With our organic farm-to-table gardens, we will be able to teach others how to raise produce from seed to harvest. The fresh GMO free produce will be able to supplement
our food pantry, the volunteers and future soup kitchen. Excess produce can be sold locally to raise money for ministry projects.
By utilizing raised growing beds, seniors and disabled will be able to sit in comfort as
they care for the plants. Children will be able to reach plants easily. We encourage everyone to come and help in the gardens so that we will be able to feed nutritious
meals to those in need for years to come.
The gardens will also provide an opportunity to teach preparation and preservation of homegrown foods. Teaching skills such as, food prep and safety, cooking, freezing, vacuum packing, canning, dehydrating and picking practices.
This is one of our priority projects that we hope to have ready for the spring planting season of 2021. Your donations will help us greatly in meeting this goal.
